We know you have a lot of questions. And we have nearly three decades worth of answers. Read through our frequently asked questions for answers to some of our most common questions.

Our Event Specialists will be available to help you starting at Day 1, designating floor plans, creating a timeline and plan everything else for the day. They will be primarily responsible for planning your wedding day, communicating with other professionals and vendors to ensure that the event is hosted to your specifications. You will also have a Wedding Day Coordinator who will manage the logistics of your day.

Although Herrington does not provide a wedding ceremony coordinator, we can add this service to your contract. Pricing depends on the date/time of your event. Herrington does supply ceremony guidelines to all of our clients.

Herrington will endeavor to accommodate a rehearsal time based upon availability.

Herrington on the Bay provides a rain plan for your reception. We can quickly relocate your ceremony within the facility that you have reserved for your reception at no extra cost.

Yes, the power is within 25 feet of the lawns and is available for podiums, musicians, and other ceremony needs.

Directions and GPS addresses for our ceremony and reception sites are located on our website at www.herringtononthebay.com. Herrington can provide an original copy of written directions that you may reproduce and distribute at your discretion.

Yes. We have ample, free parking whether your event is located in one of the rooms of the Herrington Yacht Club or Paradise Ballroom.

Herrington’s staff wears all black catering attire. A more casual style uniform may be worn upon request.

Herrington furnishes white folding chairs for wedding ceremonies. These chairs are cleaned 30 minutes prior to your ceremony.

No. Once you have reserved our services or property for your event, we no longer offer the date and/or location to other guests and therefore, we may not resell the date if your event is cancelled.

Yes. Maryland State Law requires that any labor cost applied to catered parties for 12 or more guests must be taxed at the Maryland Sales Tax rate.

The labor cost is not a gratuity. It is used to pay salaries and wages. Any voluntary tips you choose to offer in addition to the labor cost are very much appreciated.

Herrington permits each client to provide their own unique flowers and centerpieces.

+

The Inn at Herrington Harbour is located on site, and has several guest rooms and suites available to rent. The Dover House is a 3 bedroom home that is available to rent through Herrington on the Bay.

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health requires that any leftover food be handled only by Herrington on the Bay, the licensed food service facility.

+

Herrington on the Bay provides exclusive food and beverage services to anyone hosting an event at our site. Aside from supplying your own wedding cake, no other food or beverages may be provided by outsider suppliers.

Herrington is a full service caterer and exclusively provides all food, linens or other needs at the best value possible.

+

Herrington on the Bay owns the liquor license for the property. Therefore, if your event is held at our property, you may not bring your own spirits or liquor.
