Herring Bay Eco-Day

Herrington on the Bay and Herrington Harbour welcomed guests to enjoy Herring Bay Eco Day on October 11, 2009. This green festival located at Herrington Harbour South in Southern A.A. County provided guests wtih beautiful Chesapeake Bay views with local bay tunes provided by Coastal Flats.

Kids activities included a corn bin, painting planters and planting their own plants to take home, pumpkin decorating, an Eco-Trail tour hosted by Naturalist, Lisa Garrett, Birds of Prey and more.

Local farmers offered products for purchase. Healthy concessions includined gluten-free baked goods, local wines and hearty ales.

Proceeds benefited the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the Chesapeake Bay Trust.
