Eco-Trail
"I'd like to say "thank you" to you and the staff at Herrington on the Bay for helping our families and friends celebrate the graduation of our daughters from high school. The menu was excellently prepared and presented. The wait staff was friendly and helpful and the location, well, speaks for itself. Everyone had a great time."

Eco-Trail

Herrington on the Bay's Eco-Walk Trail is a two-mile trek from the East Beach to the West Beach along the Chesapeake Bay and around the marina basin. The trail and raised boardwalk, designed exclusively for the enjoyment of Herrington guests, wind through acres of wetlands and marshes restored over the years by the Chaney family. There are 18 markers and stops along the way where trekkers can enjoy historic views, native plants and animal habitats. These include nesting grounds for rare Maryland Diamondback Terrapins. Other animals you'll likely get a glimpse of include ospreys, blue herons, egrets, Maryland Blue Crabs, horseshoe crabs, and muskrats.
